Understanding Opportunities for Speech Packages

In the Radio Industry  it consists of 4 Different sectors. These include:

Public: Public Radio Stations are ones that Broadcast all over the country, for example BBC. Public Radio means that they are funded by the Public therefore they do not need to use any adverts. The only advertising they do is advertising they want to, for example an upcoming event they are hosting.

Private: These are Radio stations for example TFM Radio, they only broadcast in your area. For example North Yorkshire or Teesside. These can use their own adverts and advertise other companies so they can greet the funding they need to keep it running. For example the radio stations and adverts played will be completely different up in the North of the UK compared to down London in the South.

Community: Community radio stations basically talk about points of interest to keep the listeners entertained. They are ran by, owned, and aided by the community around them. Usually they are non profit as they are just used to share personal stories with different audiences in the area. Basically to become contributors of Media.

Voluntary: Voluntary Radio is broadcasted by people who have decided that they want to. It is up to them what they want to talk about and how many listeners they get however they are not funded at all. It is ran by themselves and runs on their money. Voluntary radio stations are usually found elsewhere for example online as there are websites where they can broadcast for free. This means they don't have to get out any of their own money.
